DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This small vase of spherical form is blown in a very thick glass, of a slightly amber tint, whose massive base ensures fine stability. The mass is scattered with fine controlled air bubbles, denser on a median crown which girdles the body like a necklace of air pearls. The neck, wide and cut straight, is softened by a polished flat.
This work in bubbled glass belongs to the French tradition of the artisanal glassworks of the 1970s — in the lineage of the productions of Biot — which made the trapped bubble a decorative motif in its own right, celebrating the raw material and the light. These small thick and sensual pieces have regained all their relevance in contemporary interiors.
Condition report: Very good condition. Sound glass, without visible chip or crack, probable surface micro-scratches inherent to use. Charming as a short bud vase, a candle holder or a simple object of material on a shelf or a desk.
