Rectangular Serving Tray with an Openwork Brass Gallery, in the Style of Maison Baguès, 1960s

This serving tray features a clear opaline glass ground set within a moulded brass frame, surrounded by an openwork gallery with finely pierced lattice motifs. Two brass side handles, discreetly integrated into the gallery, ease service and handling. The openwork brass gallery is one of the emblematic motifs of the productions of Maison Baguès, the great Parisian house of art bronze, the reference in gilt brass; this tray allows the piece to be stylistically linked to that refined repertoire of French tableware of the 1960s. Condition report: Good overall condition. Brass with a beautiful even gilt patina, the glass ground possibly showing probable surface micro-scratches inherent to use.
