DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

This bottle holder develops an elegant arched horseshoe form, structured by bent bamboo canes encircled with rattan. The facade is fitted with interlaced rattan rings forming the housings for the bottles, presented lying down, neck forward. The joints are underlined with crossed lashings of rattan pith, both solid and decorative. This piece illustrates the inventiveness of the Italian workshops of the 1960s, which rendered rattan and bamboo in all the arts of living, from veranda furniture to pantry accessories. The composition in rings is not without evoking the productions of Franco Albini and the great transalpine basketry. Condition report: Good overall condition. Sound bamboo and rattan with a nuanced honey patina, lashings complete, stable structure. An object both functional and sculptural for a kitchen, a dining room or a bar corner.
