DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

This log holder is shaped from folded steel sheet: two trapezoidal cheeks lacquered bright red frame a V-shaped cradle lacquered matte black that holds the logs. The continuous folding, with no apparent assembly, gives the object a graphic and self-supporting silhouette, where the contrast of the two colours underlines the geometry of the design. This work of folded lacquered sheet belongs to the functionalist design of the 1970s, heir to the research of designers such as Mathieu Matégot on folded metal, who transposed an industrial and colourful language to fireplace accessories. Condition report: Good general condition. Uniform red and black lacquers, with possible small marks from use proper to the function. A fireplace accessory as practical as it is decorative, which energizes a contemporary fireside.
