DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

This pair of decorative ducks is executed in finely chased silvered metal: the plumage is treated in overlapping scales, the wings detailed feather by feather, the heads raised with liveliness. The two subjects, of slightly different sizes, answer one another in complementary attitudes, one with its beak raised, the other more crouched. These table animals in silvered metal fit within the tradition of animal silverwork, brought back into fashion in the 1970s by the Spanish and French houses specialising in chased decorative subjects, much admired as a garniture for a table or a library. Condition report: Good general condition. Even silvering with a patina of use, crisp chasing, possible surface micro-scratches. A pair full of charm, to be placed on a table, a console or a library shelf.
