DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

The table features a circular top banded with rattan, entirely tiled with ceramics with a blue and ochre geometric decor on a cream ground, resting on four doubled legs joined by an apron with small radiating arches. The chair adopts an elegant shell shape: the seat and the curved back are drawn by rattan stems bent in a fan, held by wicker ligatures, on a compass base.

This child's furniture illustrates the French rattan production of the 1950s-1960s, heir to the great basket-makers and to the Riviera spirit, where the suppleness of the material allowed organic forms full of gentleness. The ceramic top, practical and decorative, is typical of the tables of this period.

Condition report: Good overall condition. Sound rattan with an even blond patina, complete ceramic tiles, ligatures in place. A charming set for a child's bedroom or a reading corner, which can also serve as a decorative side table.
