DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
This console presents a top with cut corners whose chrome metal frame encloses a clear bevelled glass; it rests on cylindrical uprights in solid plexiglas, punctuated with gilt brass rings. A glass stretcher shelf, also encircled by a metal frame, joins the legs at mid-height and offers a second display surface.
The combination of plexiglas — the star material of the 1970s popularised by American and European designers —, chrome and glass illustrates the decade's taste for transparent furniture, which seems to float in space and lets light circulate.
Condition report: Good general condition. Translucent plexiglas with beautiful transparency, possibly showing fine scratches from use; brilliant chrome; glass with probable surface micro-scratches. An airy console, ideal in an entrance or behind a sofa.
