DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT

Of drum shape, this small seat features a circular top composed of concentric rattan rings, carried by an entirely openwork apron: large arches of bent rattan interlace in regular handles and loops, each crossing being carefully ligatured with rattan pith. Two rattan circles, top and bottom, stiffen the composition.

This work in heat-bent rattan, light and graphic, is characteristic of French production of the 1960s, when rattan furniture left the veranda to take over the whole interior, in a spirit of holidays and freedom proper to those years.

Condition report: Good overall condition. Sound and solid rattan with a nuanced blond patina, complete ligatures, a few minor marks of use of no consequence. Usable as a stool, a plant stand or a side table, it will bring a bohemian note to any room of the house.
