DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
Each sconce unfolds a rising vegetal composition in gilt metal: sinuous stems, cut, repoussé and veined acanthus leaves, punctuated with berries in gilt balls. Two light arms in opposing scrolls detach from it, ending in candle nozzles with foliate collars forming blossoming flowers. The lower part ends in an elegant scroll of cascading foliage.
This work of gilt tole shaped into naturalistic scrolls belongs to the great Florentine tradition of gilt metal, whose virtuosity the Italian workshops of the 1950s perpetuated, rivalling the Parisian productions in invention to animate walls with a luminous vegetation.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Original gilding with a warm patina. A pair full of movement on either side of a mirror, a fireplace or a headboard.
